2011 Butterfly Ball

I got invited to shoot at the 2011 Butterfly Ball this year, which benefits the imperiled blue butterfly of the florida keys.


With Tiki torches blazing I just kept following the path until I found the fun.


The event was held right next to the beautiful pond as a backdrop, and started off with various musical performances from Opera, to Female Impersonators.






Oops, can't forget to mention what HAS TO BE AT ALL PARTIES! Your own personal bartender.


Everyone enjoyed the event as there was a silent auction, great food, great people and may photo oppertunities.


As the evening went on, folks began to dance and enjoy the evening with one another.


On the walk home, I seen something that caused me to pull the camera back out, and not pass up!


Can it get any better than this?

Jon & Melissa Get Engaged!

This weekend Jon & Melissa arrived for a weekend getaway, and somehow Melissa ended up with her own photographer, and a surprise.


Jon brought Melissa to Key West to enjoy the weekend and ask her one important question.


His fingers were crossed, but Jon was a man with confidence and Melissa seem to be on to his plan the entire time!


I didn't hear her say "yes", however it was a clear sign that she said YES!


Now fellas, ya'll need to take a lesson from Jon. Yes he went to Jared's, and even though she had a feeling it was coming, he still made it special, and yes fellas there were tears! Now show it to us Melissa, let us see it!






As I gave the couple a few minutes alone, and just snapped from a distance you can tell these two are very much in love!


As the sun began to set, I just moved back and let the couple enjoy the sunset by themselves.




This couple was a very fun couple to shoot, and full of ALLOT of energy. The 2 hours went by very quickly, and I wish the best to the two of you Jon & Melissa!
