An hour with Marine Life

I finally had some time this weekend after my "honey do" list was completed to get out and shoot for fun. I've been wanting to try some new things with taking underwater shots through glass so what better place to try it out than the Key West Aquarium!

I always like the "Touch Tanks", and this was my first time seeing a Conch of this size.

This guy wasn't camera shy at all. I think he even smiled for me.

This was the "coolest" part of my day. There was this 7lb starfish that was litterally trying to climb out of the tank, which gave me a great oppertunity to get upclose and personal with him.

This fella was in a "no touch" tank, and he gave me the oppertunity to get right over him. This shot was done without any glass between the camera and all his tentacles.

Now for the "glass shots".

When I seen this guy floating near the top of the water, I really wanted to capture his reflection above him.

$20 says this guy wins every beauty contest under the sea!

Whatever this thing is, it was beautiful. I'm thinking this is going up in my bathroom to go with my "water" theme.

It was a quick stop through the Aquarium as it is pretty small compared to what the rest of you are used to, but hey it's Key West, and Key West provides a great oppertunity to just get out and SHOOT! Every single day regardless of the weather!
